Gordon Murray chatted with Henry Catchpole recently about the T.33, but there was so much extra stuff in that interview we thought we'd put together a bonus episode for you. Gordon tells us about his custom watch made in collaboration with Tag Heuer for the McLaren F1, the new GMA facility and more!

Following the hotly anticipated T.50, The GMA T.33 is Gordon Murray's next brainchild to take on the mid-engined supercar market. It shares the high-revving Cosworth tuned V12 and similar guiding principles with the T.50. Which got us wondering: What makes it special? So we paid Gordon a visit to find out.

If you're unfamiliar with Professor Gordon Murray CBE, he's the brain behind the iconic McLaren F1 supercar as well as a series of successful Brabham F1 cars. His most controversial innovation was the Brabham "Fan car" that used ground effect aerodynamics and some clever interpretation of the regulations to dominate other F1 cars. This is one of the few mechanical engineers that puts driver engagement at the forefront of design so, naturally, the T.33 has a manual transmission option which is music to Henry Catchpole's ears.

These designs are timeless. They will come up for auction in 30 years and look just as beautiful and functional as they are today; whereas, a lot of today’s super cars will look to be “of their era”. I personally like the T33's looks as I'm a fan of the classic Alfa Tipo 33 Stradale, Ferrari 250 GTO & Ford GT40. What's not to like? With the T33 you're getting one of the best V12's of all time (along with the T50), engineering perfection and guaranteed exclusivity.
