This scene frustrates me. Not the act itself but what it represents. They had gone out of their way to give us a damn near perfect CoAi movie. One where the romantic overtones are blatantly obvious as hell. They gave us the glory of Conan doing everything in his power to save her and Haibara risking her life to save him in turn. Even made them kiss on top of that. But this scene? It's the writers essentially walking back their decision. They gave us all that content and they weren't willing to truly commit. Instead they had Shiho symbolically "give his lips back" to the other girl who loves him. I fuckin hate it. At this point Shinichi x Shiho is SO much better than Shinichi x Ran and the writers know it. But despite that they're still willing to commit to the significantly less interesting romance of Shinichi x Ran. *sigh* it's hard being a fan of this ship but I still love and adore the movie nonetheless.

we know waiting is painful and in real life shinichi and ran was impossible to be together imagine u waiting your fcking life for one person that you don't know where is he or what he's doing, he's not even bother to call u everyday to check how is your day, there is no way you wouldn't falling in love with other man/lose hope in that waiting process, that make shiho and shinichi is more relatable (we know conan is always see ran in everyday life but c'mon in ran POV it was hell)
