Its funny how some people say Subaru is useless. From others perspective he is an unbeatable strategist who always comes in to the right place at the right time, and always wins without fail.

Given their history of their first meeting and duel, i remember when Julius had to kill a possesed subaru, he said "I wanted to call you a friend"
Then this fight happens and he finally acknowledges him and calls him "My Friend, Natsuki Subaru"
This was really some touching friendship stuff. Loved these two's bonding.

Weak man against overhelming odds, Subaru, man that can't fight(his fight scenes are mostly of pure improvisation and trying to stay alive), man that doesn't surrender after many defeats and more suffering than many of us would never recover from, man that uses his quick thinking to defeat oponents way more powerfull than him, either humans or beasts.


It's hard to find story with more satisfying victories

I used to think that most anime protagonists get their heroines so damn easily, even though they didn’t do anything much. This dude on the other hand... he completely deserves every good thing he’s earned, struggled so long and far through all that shit. Darn, if I were in his position I’d go batshit crazy.

The first time this OST was playing in Ep.9 when Subaru was talking Rem into going to search for kids in the forest, while his hands were shaking in fear. And that is what real courage is - to know fear, expect being vulnerable, get hurt, and yet keep going forward.

I love them as a team, they're excellent partners.

I read Arc 5 where Subaru make a speech. This ost fits the event. He is more like a demogague king who is ready to lead his people to victory.

Probably one of the greatest OST in anime I've heard in a VERY long time. When I hear this I can only imagine an epic battle in Re:Zero

Speaking in terms of basic compatibility, the water should extinguish the flames, but the flames here were mighty, so mighty that they could simply evaporate the opposing water and reduce it to nothing. Perhaps many swordsmen akin to flowing water had been evaporated away by the flames of Ried's swordsmanship. However, at the very least, Julius had no fear of throwing himself in there and getting evaporated as he continued launching destructive and unavoidable attacks at Ried."
