1. Cuba has a Soviet-like democracy. No, it's not a liberal democracy, it is a grassroots democracy, and compared to Cuba, a country like the US doesn't have a shred of democracy. 2. Castro is overwhelmingly supported by the Cuban people, and because he improved the standard of living in Cuba so significantly that had Castro been elected directly, things wouldn't really look any different. 3. To me, it's only authoritarianism if the state is intolerant of people's ways of life and if the state controls production, distribution, and exchange without the support if the population. Neither of those things apply to Cuba.

Personally, I admired the late Fidel Castro of Cuba even though he was NOT entirely perfect. What he did for his country was also NOT prefect as well. But I have had enough of only having to hear and read the negative aspects of Castro's legacy for both Cuba and the world from his lousy detractors, particularly from the Cuban exiles in the United States.

Where is the praise? It sounds like he was making a point. Bernie has a great handle on foreign relations and what the long term consequences are for us and the countries that we try and manipulate. GO BERNIE GO!

Love to reminisce! The president of Univision was HRC's top donor during that time. One of the moderator's daughters worked for HRC. Yet the one that pissed me of the most was the one who asked that question, dishonestly framing it to say Bernie praised Castro when in fact he was simply justifying why the people supported him and how the US was wrong.
Then, the all knowing all powerful HRC, somehow recalls this obscure video from 1985 and is able to illuminate a part of it that the Univision team didn't show!
Don't blame them. I heard there was a truncated rehearsal time since she was in danger of losing the primary to this socialist despite what we now CONFIRM was the most rigged Democratic Primary in history.

Oh Bernie, I remember I supported you a lot, but as soon as I noticed you befriended with Castro, Chavez and even Maduro I realized I was blindfolded. It is sad 'cause I want a leader that cares for the needed people and every living thing, but at the same time wants to make justice in the world. Btw, Cuba don't send doctors around the world just out of kindness; Cuban regime charges for this service, or asks something in exchange.
