Riding down main street on Mackinac Island

Something a little different. I went on a little vacation to Mackinac Island in Michigan. There are no cars allowed on the island so everyone gets around by bike or horse. I remember them saying there can be more than 600 horses on the island at any one time. The only cars are a firetruck, a police car, and an ambulance.

Pretty interesting little place and it should be on any cyclists bucket list. Reminds me of the early 1900s and has a very aristocratic feel about it.

that's where I spent my honeymoon! I don't remember seeing bikes back then (a couple of decades ago), . Cheers

I'm guessing that shoveling sound at the beginning was scooping up the horse poop with a shovel?
