I'm 60 years old here in 2024.So glad I found this rare treasure.
I'm not sure why, but it made me cry like a baby...

Tom T, Johnny, Waylon, Charlie Pride, Merle, Billie Joe Shaver, George Jones, Conway, Marty Robbins, Ray Price, Johnny Paycheck, Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, Wynn Stewart, Buck Owens, Faron Young, Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Doc Watson, and so many more my dad introduced me to are gone now. Now, Dad is getting ready for his meeting with our maker. Thank you dad for making me the man I am today. And for showing me Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Blake Shelton, and Jason Aldean are all a group of people who have been manufactured by Nashville. None of which are true artists. You were right, dad. Someone is pissing on our leg and telling us it's raining.

RIP Tom T Hall. You were the story teller of my youth. You never brought unneeded attention to yourself. Always a good performer, always a gentleman.

My dad loved this song 2022. Asked me to sit to listen to it and I had other things on my mind. What I wouldn't give to have him ask me to sit and listen to it again. He passed in August 2022

So, this guy can get up in front of a full auditorium by himself with an acoustic and keep people spellbound, you could hear a pin drop, and probably half of them are trying not to cry they're so moved by this. Wow, will he be missed.

I grew up on old country music and ballads, this song never gets old, I'm 55 now.

Not a person in the crowd made a single sound while he sang. They all knew the story, had heard the song a zillion times, BUT the storyteller was right in front of them and they all knew they were being blessed by greatness....live.

My Dad just passed away last week. This was his drunk crying song. Dammit if I'm not crying now.

"I remember the day Clayton Delaney died" is my favorite. Now fans sadly remember the day Tom T Hall died.

Oh how my heart hurts tonight. I loved Tom T. Hall and losing him saddens me greatly. This song was my favorite of all his songs and it had quite an affect on my own life. Now i am over 65, nearing 68, and this song still means a lot to me. Thanks, Mr. Hall, you surely will be missed.

The music they laughingly call "country music " these days couldn't even compare 1% with this stuff.
