The most effective way to use Zell's Duel is to do "Armageddon Fist", whereupon you constantly input two of Zell's moves in rapid succession (Punch Rush ↔ Booya or Booya ↔ Heel Drop).

‣ Punch Rush (16 Attack Power)
‣ Booya (18 Attack Power)
‣ Heel Drop (20 Attack Power)

With 11.2% HP or less and using Aura your character will reach Crisis Level 4 100% of the time. The time Zell gets to input button combinations in his Duel Limit Break depends on what Crisis Level he has.

Note: All attacks are considered physical.
Meteor Strike's damage is TargetHP / 4, however, it's still considered a physical attack, i.e. it's halved by Protect but can also critical.

Gloves: Ehrgeiz
Abilities: Auto-Haste, HP +80%, Str +60%, Luck +50%

Note: I could have used meltdown at start of the battle but i didnt want, that would have made the fight easier and shorter (i wanted some "challenge"). It's already super easy, so imagine making it even easier... lol.

Fun fact: In FF8 Remastered, the fastest command input time, during Zell's duel, with two commands is 0.13 seconds and 0.14 (if the last digit of the remaining time in the bottom right is 0) due to the frame rate.
If the last digit of the remaining time is 0, it will always be the input time + 0.01 seconds.
Therefore, the maximum number of inputs possible in one duel is 89 = 90 attacks (around 900,000 damage if all attacks deal 9999).
Meanwhile in the PSX version the fastest command input is 0.03 seconds, which theoretically equates to about 399 inputs = 400 attacks (around 4,000,000 damage if all attacks deal 9999).

I'm sick of seeing "12s longest of my life" everywhere.
I still hate the game design that bosses immune to lv-up command, tho. I love to have the challenge when facing lv 100 omega weapon with my party at started lv.
