My Father proposed to my Mother 11 days after they met. He apparently knew he wanted to marry her the very first moment he met her but decided to wait an additional 10 days so as to not frighten her. They are both passed away now but were married lovingly for 35 years. It was an honor to bear witness to their union. Their marriage was SO BEAUTIFULLY respectful, peaceful, and profound.

I went on a date with my husband one week later we went skiing and he asked me to marry him after he had a few drinks… we just had our 35th wedding anniversary… 😊 love him to death … kindest soul and a wonderful father … my parents the same after one week . My sister and her husband same they just celebrated 30 years …when you know you know !

I first saw my wife when we were both eleven and she entered my Sunday school for the first time. She had the most mesmerizing, beautiful, long, curly hair. I went home that day and told my dad I that I would marry her. We first talked one year later at a church youth activity. We became flirty friends over the next couple of years. We danced at our 8th grade graduation party. We went on a few dates in high school and then went to college in different states. After one year of college we had a date and ended up talking on her lawn almost all night. We decided to go on church missions (separately) before we got married. We returned home within hours of each other. 9 days later we were engaged, and within 5 months we were married. 25 years, 6 kids and 2 grandkids later we are still going strong. She still has that wonderous hair.

It took me a month to tell my wife I was in love with her but in reality I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. Four months later asked her to marry me, and 3 months later we got married.

Reading all these stories and hearing this made me cry at 1130am on a Saturday morning lmao. I’m so happy and thankful there are still lovely love stories out there. I know things might not always work out for everyone, and it’s fine if it doesn’t, but I wish everyone could have this happiness. My heart breaks my mom never did and won’t have this joy. I have wished often that I was never born so that in another universe, my mom could’ve found someone else instead.
