The Fruit Cake M.R.E. Part 1

Raisins, pineapple, pecans, cherries, walnut, almonds, lemon ,orange peel blended into a rich
pound cake batter
Serving size 1/12 or 1/4th cake ( I have 3 16 Oz Packages 390 cal per serving)

But the web (Wikipedia) says with Alcohol added : If a fruit cake contains alcohol, it could remain edible for many years. For example, a fruit cake baked in 1878 is kept as an heirloom by a family in Tecumseh, Michigan.[7] In 2003 it was sampled by Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.[8] To lengthen the shelf life of a fruit cake, wrap the cake in alcohol soaked linen before storing. [9]

Great idea, can't wait to see it, The more alcohol the better, what about vacuum saving it after you soak it....

In the next video Ii will break it up into 3 parts 1lb each. and one get the alchal 1 gets frozen and one just in the fridge then every year I will eat some of each. But I guess I could put some by its self un treated in a jar. ( but the manufacturer says 4 months shelf life. so i had not planed on it.)

Thats what i did. They say to seal it up in a air tight tin. so im Using a mason jar and food saver to vac it.
