I have this pedal, good that you got it and did this video. Its a cool pedal that as you showed, can be either an OD or Dist pedal (or a blend) depending on the Colour dial setting. It is indeed supposed to be like a 'hot-rodded' SD-1 in OD mode, & somewhat like a DS-1 in Dist mode. The best use I found is in OD mode (Colour & Drive dials set low) boosting a Boss HM-2, it tightens the sound for some mean biting chugs, try that set-up. 🤘

This was my very first dirt box 20+ years ago. I remember attempting to home record back then by plugging this straight into my computers' mic in hahah... Every once in a while I think of buying it again, maybe trying out some mods.

This pedal is versatile depending on how you dial the knobs. It can emulate any distortion and overdrive pedals...or any amp types. The color knob is the key. You can make it sound like a booster, fuzz, crunch...and bluesy overdrive. Rectifier tone for metal?...yes! (w/ the color knob @ 3:00). The amp you use also matters with the overall sound. Hey Dome! How about doing a Stacked video with the PRS MT15 and an HM-2 pedal? Maybe the Grindstein or LHW?
You can use the Grindstein to blend the PRS preamp with it's chainsaw channel. Or just use it for the built in boost (blend knob all the way to the left - so you get just the PRS and boost it with the GS boost)
Could be interesting in my opinion!

Nah, not the best pedal... But maybe in combi with an other pedal (s/p) or as boost. Entombed used a SD-1 for the '3th guitar' in the mid of the mix?
