Shenzhen ([ʂə́n.ʈʂə̂n] (About this sound listen)) is a major city in Guangdong Province, China, which forms part of the Pearl River Delta megalopolis north of Hong Kong. It holds sub-provincial administrative status, with powers slightly less than a province.

Shenzhen was once a market town of 30,000[7][better source needed] on the Kowloon–Canton Railway. In 1979, Shenzhen was promoted to city-status and in 1980 designated China's first Special Economic Zone.[7] Shenzhen's population in 2017 is estimated to be at 12,905,000.[8] Shenzhen was one of the fastest-growing cities in the world in the 1990s and the 2000s.

I grow up in Shenzhen and when I come to US I feel like no one knows this city couple years ago... so I have to say I live in a small city next to Hongkong.... LOL
I hope more people know this city now

Unfortunately there are few good videos of Shenzhen, most are not skilled enough.
But this one is probably the best on the internet to date. The author has made a lot of effort into it, take from a number of locations in 3 different districts of the city, even have shoots from the hills, rice fields in Hong Kong.
