A day of heavy rain here comes chugging the 17311 Chennai - Vasco-Da-Gama Express in to Castle Railway station hauled by KJM WDM3A alco. Gooty WDG3A twins brakers all excited arrive to couple with the KJM alco to kick start its journey into the Braganza Ghats .

Watch out the Automatic couplers fitted to the alco.

The purpose of the Brakers being Castle rock is at 585 M above sea level & the next station Kulem which is just 26 KM away from here is at 75M above sea level, so there is a steep depression in MSL.The gradient is at 32:1 on the 26 KM stretch between Kulem and Castle Rock.

Gooty WDG3A Alco's with Auto Emergency Brakes (AEB) fitted are used for Braking & banking purpose by SWR in hilly this terrain.

That is not brakers they are called bankers
