Parameter Query || Filter Power Query data from Excel

This video describes parameters in power query for Excel. Parameters give you the flexibility to change the output of your queries. You will learn how to use a parameter to filter data based on single and multiple criteria and how to return all the data when the parameter is blank.

Hi Bunmi. An excellent lesson and tip! Thanks for demonstrating. In case anyone is wondering, you can build the if conditional directly inter the Filtered Rows step as follows: = Table.SelectRows(#"Removed Other Columns", if MonthName = null then each true else each ([Month Name] = MonthName)). It eliminates a few extra steps. Just another way to get there, if you are comfortable editing M code. Thanks for sharing! Thumbs up!!

One question: Is it possible to enter multiple month in the same time?
For example if I want June and July? I tried to enter June;July in the cell but it doesn’t work. Is it possible to enter several criteria in the cell or do I have to create several cells with criteria?

Hi your video is excellent, I loved. I just have one problem the data base I am searching sometimes come with extra characters. for example. if I was search for the company ADOBE, some database will have ADOBE, INC or ADOBE INC, so my question is how can I make the parameters identify these different variations?
