AI Infrastructure fundamentally changes how data centers use rack management solutions today. AI workload complexities and distributed system interdependency raise the need for resilient and diverse infrastructure solutions. These requirements demand that the open-source community align and develop specifications and alternative solutions that the industry can adopt beyond the current OpenRMC design.\nThis presentation focuses on how AI Infrastructure will drive changes to the legacy rack management approach. It emphasizes the need for a holistic rack solution encompassing compute components- peripherals- accelerators- and cooling infrastructure. We will propose goals for rack management on open systems for AI initiatives leveraging datacenter use cases. Discussions will involve objectives and a vision for attaining reliable- scalable- heterogeneous- and performant rack management features that address the current and near-future gaps."
