OnePlus 10 Pro 5G (Global Version) | Unboxing & Full Tour

Unboxing the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G (Global Version), a premium smartphone to rival the Oppo Find X5 Pro, Xiaomi 12 etc with Hasselblad camera tech, impressive gaming smarts etc. My full review of the OnePlus 10 Pro is coming soon but here's my early impressions, plus camera samples, Genshin Impact action and a close look at OxygenOS 12.1.

Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, this flagship phone boasts strong gaming performance. That's helped along by the dedicated gamer tools and cooling tech, which keeps the OnePlus 10 Pro from burning up under pressure.

The primary camera sensor hasn't changed at all from the 9 Pro, but you now have extra shooting options including 10-bit photo capture. I'll be fully reviewing the optics so stay tuned for that one - although the Oppo Find X5 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro are likely to be better in low light etc.

As usual you have a gorgeous AMOLED screen, stereo speakers and OxygenOS 12.1. All in all a solid package, if not as strong value as the Realme GT2 series.

I still have a OP7 Pro as a backup phone, and nearly 3 years later I don't really see any super standout changes with the newer phones. They got rid of the pop-up camera and I honestly think that was a huge mistake. It really differentiated Oneplus phones from the crowd and easily had that "What phone is that?" factor which amounted to free advertising lol

The Hasselblad thing is kinda neat but definitely wasn't all it was hyped up to be. Oneplus still makes solid phones, especially for the price (got my 7 Pro off swappa for $200 flat) but they've just melted into the rest of the android market unfortunately.

The hardware isn't too bad at all. But as a OnePlus 7t Pro user, the software has gone downhill. Especially the support. Definitely not getting any new OnePlus phones.

Looks like oneplus peaked at the 6T\7 Pro era... Bit of a shame tbh I really like my OP7Pro. Nothing has come out since that has piqued my interest the only interesting phones out are the 120w Xiaomi's and the Sony Xperia 1 III.

I switched from OnePlus 8 pro to Oppo Reno 3! OnePlus pushed the new update and removed DC Dimming as a feature, ignoring all PWM sensitive people like me. I had terrible migraines for 4 days because of this.

Weird how over the last 2 whole years geekbench scores for high-end androids have barely improved. My OnePlus 8 scores 900/3100, and I remember yearly improvements being much more than 3-5% on that benchmark. Seems we're definitely reaching a plateau where processing power and user experience barely differs between sub-2 year old phones (and I'm not the first to say that!)

It's OnePlus who cares now. When I bought OnePlus 6 (still rocking) i loved it and thought of staying with OnePlus ecosystem forever but my next phone will be either samsung or Apple

At 12:10 you have the option to raise refresh rate on games, I have the Realme GT2 Pro and I have no such options, only the normal modes. Can you check yours to see if it is the same?

I’ve never bought a oneplus and don’t plan on it but the phone looks OKAY lol. For my money I’d rather get a galaxy A73 or something though.
