Yeah I can see those two getting into some sort of permanent relationship. Especially after living and working together for that long.

To keep the rest of the body from agins seems to simple compared to keeping the mind from rewriting over memories and routines to make more room for additional information. It would be interesting to be able to offload memories to external hard drives so we don't lose anything.

She is right tho... If you strengthen the base. The nanites will be even more effective. Put them nanites in someone that does 10 pullups vs someone that can go to 500. I think the difference would be asteonomical

As a very young immortal, I relate. At times I have been asked if I am not afraid of boredom. That makes me laugh. The simple, simple joy of the dumbest thing is enough forever.

You don't have to genetically modify yourself to do 125 Pull-Ups. The world record for the most pull ups in 24 hours is 8, 940.

Humans will always push themselves to greater heights

Can't see myself wanting to live forever. That's more like a nightmare. Longer than a standard human lifetime (as long as the medical problems get fixed), sure. But forever? No. Just no. There *will* (well, would) come a time when I say "enough. I want out now."
And as for losing who I am - that's entirely reasonable. I've already lost a lot of what I was like, say, at 20. More the more you go back - pretty much everything I was before 5 is completely lost. So why would that not continue to be the case?

I never did get this. Any day I can find an excuse to help a friend move house or I can get a manual job lifting heavy things, I skipped the gym.

If I could take nanites and do some hard, useful, work with that time? 10/10. Do difficult research, AND get buff? Maybe join two different amateur sports instead of doing one and working out? Why not 💪

Immortality is the worst curse you can give someone. Life is never meant to last that long.

I will never understand people who enjoy exercise to that degree, I spent 3 years trying to keep fit, with thr help of a personal trainer, doing the bare minimum my body could handle, only twice a week, then once a week, it was the worst year's of my life!
