I just got a 2016 certified pre-owned Fusion SE with 1, 100 miles. Bought 12-31-18 and it’s been great so far!

I bought mine used a year ago, 2017 SE 1.5L with 78k miles, for 15.5k and I love the hell out of it. I know the mileage is high, but in that time it's obviously mostly highway miles. Some of my favorite features that they didn't mention are that if the car is in auto-off mode and you hit the ignition, it automatically puts it in park for you, as well as if you're at a stop with the engine running in drive gear and you open the door; it automatically puts the car into park to prevent roll-aways! Don't even get me started on that upper LED trim for the headlights, I still just look at it in awe, combined with that grill; it looks SO FUCKING MEAN. 10/10 I wouldn't trade this car of mine for anything else.

Picked up a 2017 Titanium loaded with huge discount. Comfortable, practical, and very quick with the 2.0 Eco-boost. Technology is clearly laid out and user-friendly. A similarly equipped BMW or MB would cost at least $10k to $15k more. If you're not hung up on status, I would highly recommend. Re-sale value sucks, but I plan on driving it for a decade so not an issue.

Sync 3 is a good reason to buy these 2017 and newer Ford. Incredible.

You thought Zach jumping a canyon on a motorcycle was extreme? Now watch Micah... Ghost Ride The Whip! There is nothing more fun than KBB.

My old 16 1.5 EB SE had all auto up & down windows, mirror turn signals and puddle lights. The 17 SE took those options away. I now have a 2018 Platinum and the only thing I miss is holding my gear shifter! But my 2016 rotated in corners like a Focus ST!

Only thing I've never liked about the Fusion is poor fuel efficiency, but I feel everything thing else about this car is perfect. I also love the huge trunk opening and the almost flat folding 2nd seat, a feature not seen on many other sedans.

My wife bought a 2020 ford fusion Energi (fully loaded) for only $24k with 4k miles last year! Apparently, the dealership was trying to get rid of all sedans from their lot and gave them all huge discounts. What a steal!

Got One! At the Auction! 17' Platinum Hybrid! 15k mi., for $5k, Converted it to a Faux Lincoln (a) Changed the Grille with a Contenential Grille and Lincoln Emblems, Wood Trim inside, Added Padded Seat Covers to add Depth to them and more comfort, (c) Removed the Ford Emblems and added Lincoln. & Rare Silver with Light Gray Interior. Got it Thru Copart Salvage..as a water car from Fla. Water line just 1 inch above the Floor.. so just R&R Carpeting and Sanitized it by a Pro Service for $400, it smells like New.. !

I have done some research on reliability. There are a fairly large number of reliability complaints. However, given the large sales volumes, this is to be expected. By far, a dead battery is the leading complaint. People having this problem state they believe some module is turning on power after they leave the car. That makes sense. As the problem seems to be identified, Ford fix should be coming soon, or may already have been done.

As I stated, another very common reliability complaint is the window bounce back. If you are still having this issue, google Ford tech bulletins. They give the dealer the fix for this issue. Insist the dealer perform this procedure. The first time around, I was given the run around by a service tech who pushed the button up and down a few times. That is not a permanent fix. There are five tech bulletins on window bounce back for the 2017 Fusion.

Just used adaptive cruise control for the first time. A great feature. It keeps your car 3 lengths behind the car in front of you. If it slows, the Fusion brakes to keep it at 3 lengths. Then speeds back up to your set speed. Don’t know if that’s engine braking or the brakes. I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t see the car in front of me slow down. Glad I had it on. Seems to go on automatically with cruise control.

Good review. I like Alex on autos. He gave a in depth review of the Hybrid Platinum. He really liked it. R3commended the Platinum. I have the Platinum non Hybrid. Great car.

I have a 2013 Fusion and I'm not a huge fan of the refresh. I loved the lines and especially the taillights on the pre-refresh model a lot more. Also not in love with the rotary shift knob, but the infotainment looks like a big upgrade both onscreen and on the buttons in the dash.

What KBB should also review is depreciation. The fusion had massive depreciation. So buy a 1 r 2 year old titanium or lease the new one.

MM favorite part of KBB reviews is making the back seat appear small and cramped. (Headroom clearance test).
