Moving Hearts - Let somebody know (Live & Lyrics!)

Album: Live Hearts. Also on The Platinum Collection, but not in this brilliant live-version! I've finally got the sound right, that took a lot of time. Some people say Moving Hearts is Donal Lunny's band, and it may be so, but if you take a look at the credits of this album, you'll see that the most mentioned name is Declan Sinnott... He is a great musician and it's great that he finally started making solo-music. Let somebody know is a simple lovesong, but what a twist he gave it! I've never before heard a song like an irish knott. It's neverending; it's an adventure and you don't know where it takes you. But you have that theme to hold on to, that you only notice halfway, though it was there from the start.

When you tell your grandchildren what you did, tell them you saw Moving Hearts playing the most sublime and beautiful music, they moved your heart. They made you dance on the table. They made you thank God you were born Irish, brave and true, wherever you are on this planet. You love music, everybody does, but nobody does it better than the Irish and of course, Moving Hearts. Rave on Van Morrison, Bono, Phil Lynott, Donal Lunny, Declan Sinnott and all the other unknown and talented song writers and musicians who never quite made it to the limelight but, nevertheless, played with their heart and soul to the people and for the people.

Thanks for uploading and providing so much information. I saw these guys back in '86, and THEY ROCKED The Olympic Theather that night, I tell you. It is GREAT to see them still out there and at the top of their game. May God bless you, my friend, and my God bless Moving Hearts; he's already blessed those of us the were fortunate enough to experience "The Hearts" live.

One of my favourite songs (live version) of all times - I told Declan Synott once after a gig he played at in Temple Bar - he seemed surprised... lots of favourite things about this.. the sax, Eoghan's base, Declans voice, the words, Noels'(?) percussion..the guitar... Still listening to it ...first heard it on the Radio around 1983/84... Gerry Ryan... majestic... kinda uplifting ...

I heard this earlier in The Piper's Corner pub having a pint and stuck it on when I got home. What a fantastic song, a genuine classic. The Hearts was the first indoor gig I saw in the Stadium, 1981? Landlord was the single at the time, I think. A great great band.

This is not a love song, it is a life song, reach out and trust someone, we are all lonely but we have something precious to share

This is a brilliant rendition of the song. It is practically a symphony in itself. Declan and Victoria Keating sang this recently at the Irish Centre in Hammersmith, Westo

I am 76. This is the only band that I regret not seeing live. Very jealous of those who did. Thank you for uploading. ( have you got "What Will You Do About Me ?")
