We were speaking from the standpoint of saving the species. There are many animals that are only "endangered" because we can breed them fast enough to prevent them from completely dying off. Sure, there were probably some Tasmanian Tiger's that produced offspring occasionally, but not enough to prevent extinction.

Sadly, that is why the episode is short. One of our members mistakenly thought the two animals were the same. We couldn't do much about the tasmanian devil bit in the intro, but the facts after the intro are accurate and on point.

Thank you for your response. Your videos are always very good and so professionally done. Real classy. Most younger people nowadays don't seem very interested in history, with me I love it.
Give me an old documentary about WW2 or Al Capone and I'm
up all night watching it.

We've actually seen the movie. It was quite the thriller!

It truly is. It would have been cool to see their behavior in the wild.

I read a book on the thylacine, it was very interesting. The Thylacine- or tiger-
was blamed for killing sheep in Tasmania and thus shot on sight. The actual killer of sheep were probably wild dogs.
In your video you seem to imply the thylacine is the Tasmanian Devil, it's a totally different creature.

Watch "The Hunter" with Daniel Day Lewis all about a guy sent by a company to catch a Tasmanian Tiger, after one is spotted in remote outback.

He most likely was ill. Most believe that Benjamin died of neglect due to lack of proper care. Believe it or not, modern scientists are working on bringing the animal back. They have extracted Tasmanian Tiger DNA and are working on an 80 million dollar project to revive the species.
