Is there a better player to have ever donned the Bluenote (other than Gretzky)? Is there nothing he can't do? So sneaky and slippery. Is there anyone else in hockey with as quick a release on their wrist shot. Or slapshot from the point? Is there anyone else who can evade defenders (and often goaltenders) with his acrobatic skating and incredibly deft stick-work? Graceful, powerful, explosive, subtle and precise. No doubt dedicated and apparently lovable, too. He's a franchise player to the Blues in the same vein as Berenson, Unger, The Plagers, Sutters, Hull, Arbor and others. A breath of fresh air in a season which started with such promise. Here's to you, Vladamir! God bless you.
