Usually, the spouse gets half of what was earned during the marriage - because during the marriage, every income is family income, and wifes, who at the time were not able to work when married, but do housework and raising kids (hard work as well) gets half. If the wife earned something too, that would also be shared.. I doubt, his wife got half of everything but half of the family income during the marriage, which was probably a lot.
It is so tragic, that so many great artists die in plane crashs.

We had tickets to see him in person two days after he was killed. So so sad… best looking fella ever!
