Race 2!

Sorry I'm so slow with the vids!
With everything else thats taking off, its just a simple matter of hrs in the day.

Do we prefer sweet and simple race reports or more detail?

Race 2 was a more calm affair, and certainly the weekend up to now has been the complete opposite of last year. Race 1 turned out to be a fairly easy win, and race 2 was pleasingly clean after the last minute hustle to prep the car for the 2019 season.

A not amazing start didn't stop us from pipping the lead in turn one and starting to pull away. New tyres meant I had to take it quite easy to scrub them, get them up to temp and not kill them or go off myself. I had just put on new discs so again I needed to bed the pads in and take things easy. Once the first 3 laps or so were out of the way I could start pushing a bit.

And simply put, with a big enough gap I could manage it fairly easily, not hassling lapped traffic, giving them space and avoiding some of the mayhem going on. I didn't win the race by a huge margin, but you'll see the amount I slowed down in sections and particuarly the last lap, it was all perfectly in hand to bring it home for the double.

Unfortunately my stats are completely ruined due to the poor quali performance, but a win, FL in both races and a new championship lap record will do me just fine!

The next weekend at Combe wasn't anything like the same though! stay tuned for a proper elbows out hoorah!

If you don't already...Get some Speedfactory detent springs, and MTEC shifter springs (both internal to the gearbox but easily replaced). After installing them on mine gear changes are like a bolt action rifle.

What shifter are you planning on changing to? Hybrid Racing seem to be really popular on the K swaps. I use one in my B series DC2 and love it!
