the 12 team playoff enhanced the regular season.

The expanded playoffs also kept lots of players from jumping ship before “meaningless” bowl games.

EARNED not “deserved”. These teams earned their spot. It’s as simple as that.

Ohio State changed up their defense after that last game against them. They have been one of the best defenses and haven't allowed a passing TD since then. They didn't bring any pressure last game and let Gabriel just stand in the pocket untouched. OSU's on a mission this post season.

I’ll say this Burch didn’t play in the first game if you think he’s not a big difference maker then your crazy Oregon knew this would more then likely be the matchup they’ve had 3 weeks to get ready for this game it’s put up or shut up

Honestly: more teams = less room to complain about who “deserves” to be there.

After the Indiana and SMU loss hearing that other teams should’ve been there instead is so dumb. They won the games they were supposed to and earned their spot. Quit complaining about Alabama or South Carolina, they LOST the games they should’ve won.

Extending the playoffs to 14-25 teams gets everyone to stfu about who deserves to be there or not. The winner will deserve it bc they will have won EVERY game they were supposed to and potentially games they were the underdog in.

I’m all for more teams ONLY because I want whoever is the best to BE the best. More football games (even if they’re blowouts) IS more fun, and we get to see the best of the best go at it. And if a 9-3 team is the BEST team in college football, we’ll know when it comes to playoffs. No more “weak schedule” crap, they’ll play the best teams when the time comes.

Same thing is done with the pros. The Super Bowl winner is RARELY ever undefeated, and if that’s what we expect we’re lying to ourselves. You’re going to have bad games. I want the best team to win. And regardless of if we have more or less teams the best team WILL win. Giving more teams the opportunity to show up won’t deter the best team in college football winning the national championship. Anyone who says otherwise is a joke

Gabriel is more trustworthy than will Howard, Oregon 31-28

There has to be a standard, and there's always going to be someone left out. Happened with 2 team, 4 teams, and already with 12 teams. There's also going to be lopsided wins, regardless. Especially on the collegiate level

JD I don’t think we have enough of a sample size yet to really understand. We see this in March Madness with the performance of certain teams. 16 who’s never been there agains #1 Duke gets throttled.

We should give this 5 years. 5 different seasons of ebb and flow, transfers, a full set of players that went from freshman to graduating. To then look at it and say “okay we have data now how do we make this better”

If they expand the playoffs further, they should do away with the conference championship games.

The only reason we are talking about expanding to 16 is one reason. The butt hurt ESPN and the SEC. Let’s say it was 16 this year. You know who’s getting 3 of the 4 remaining slots. Alabama S. Carolina, and Ol Miss. Who gets the final spot? Why not Texas AnM. It’s BS. Here’s in idea SEC don’t lose 3 fing games to the likes of Vanderbilt and Kentucky. It’s year one. The little guys will get better unless you keep them out like you’re trying to do. Come on Notre Dame kick the shit outta Georgia and put the SEC out their misery.

8 teams would be the best. First round home games, no by weeks.

I think James is about to take off, and Penn State may dominate the B1G for the next decade.

I actually think it’s the opposite. I think Ohio State wins by two possessions. Take away the fluke onside kick, the Judkins fumble and the other mistakes Ohio State made which all lead to Oregon scoring. Take away all of that and Ohio State wins by 10 or more. I like Ohio State by 10 or more

OSU and the Ducks both have a history of choking.
It might be the ugliest game this weekend.
Hopefully not, but don't be shocked if it is.
Both coaches have to be sweating bullets.

Holy crap! Stockton holds state records for passing TDs and QB rushing TDs in Highschool. How has UGA not been using this kid?
