See comments on how youth doesn't like this, well I'm 16 I find this pleasing and gets my soul closer to GOD. And when I go to Mass its more powerful. Praise the LORD, Jesus Christ.

It's the Holy Eucharist. It's supposed to be slow and contemplative, sweet and pleasing. Gooey? No way! This is wonderful.

Priests should start chanting the Ordinary Form Mass more often, especially on more solemn occasions. The same people who object would be triggered to find that the trend among younger people is moving back towards more traditional practices. I'm an 18 year old Catholic convert, I have always received Holy Communion kneeling and on the tongue, and I attend Mass in the Extraordinary Form by default. There's something very rich and fulfilling in all the traditional expressions of our Liturgy; the Latin, the chants, ad orientem, etc. I'd say the average age at the EF Mass is around 30ish; the priest even comments how nice it is to see so many young people at Mass!

One who does not appreciate the Beauty and Mystery of our traditional liturgical heritage, simply does not understand what the Mass is or the organic development of the Liturgy.

Chant elevates the words from speech to song and from commonplace to rare as the merchants pearl

Beautiful, I heard a priest chant it a few years ago, it brought a whole new meaning, and reinforced this special moment

Ever since my parish priest did mass this way, i looked at mass way differently and i PREFER it this way.

Fact, my parish priest presided mass for a youth congress of over 400+ youth and all of them were awe struck. So don't judge youth. This generation is growing to love tradition.

Really pleasent and prayerful. The prayers sung this way penetrate to the soul and connect us with God the almighty.

Anyone who says that this sounds goey, does not understand the Mass in its entirety.

@polemeros I agree with the slow, but this is essentially the same setting we use now.

Infact its ok for people in the city who have a Western background but its will be alien for people of other cultures. Especially for a Hindu convert from a village it would be very difficult .Anyway this is only the Latin rite in the Catholic Church. There are others. May the music we use help us to glorify and worship God most high.

@henry01090905
That depends on how many youth attend mass in the Western countries....And you don't need to just blast music but good music and help brign the presence of God down Mostly the mass is become a ritual...

@jedi1991 You are saying that.. what music do you play... if its music at all... just saw your video..
You have to help people to pray not take them away from it. As it is in the West there are hardly any people going to church unlike here in India.Do you know the music in heaven.It's not classical or jazz or pop but people worship there.H ave you thought of other cultures?.. Thank God we in India in the Catholic church don't stick to one style of music.
