Blackberry Priv - Worth it in 2019? (Real World Review)

Should you buy the Blackberry Priv in 2019? Today I will answer that question and tell you about my experience with the phone. I miss Blackberry phones and wish they would focus more on phones like these, just like they did (sort of) with the Blackberry Torch.

Have my PRIV since June 2016. Yes last security patch was almost 2 years ago...guess what my PRIV runs super smooth. All my apps are always updated playstore. No issues. Screen is gorgeous and keyboard 4 yrs later no issues and looking great.

Double tap 'alt' to lock the keyboard to numbers (same with shift for all caps).

You say having the charging port on the bottom sucks I can't think of any phones that don't have the charging port on the bottom

Before getting a priv check out Fxtec Pro1, also has physical keyboard but newer and better :).

I have 2 Privs cause the Batts can't make it thru the day. My main phone is a Bold 9930 for calls, text and email. Is the PRIV the last Model to be used by Verizon?

love the Phone,
coincidentally, I have just built today two broken, to one working. Yes battery and camera are not the best but it has an keyboard! To extend the on-time, its usefull to reduce resolution(to full-hd) per OTA USB cable, then the overheating appears not so often.

1. In Venice, you can have more than 40 shortcuts directly from keyboard.
2. The phone shoots very good quality videos and audio filtering in 4K/60FPS.
3. If you know how to remove the back panel, there is a lot of empty space where you can add cooling liquid gel from Amazon and it will minimize the heating problem.
4. Turn off the animation from developer mode and the lag will be surely minimum.

Not everyone has 1000 bucks for a phone but sounds like your trying to sway people away from budget end phones with this review

Awesome looking phone .. but pathetic battery life, overheating and starts to lags horribly, takes 2-3min for installing apps .. can't play even small games, 3-4min of gameplay and then the overheating process starts and give infinite lags untill I force restart!
