I got lucky myself for a great find. 1966 $100 star note with serial It was not in great shape but came back as VF20 from PCGS

JRW3----Although uncommon, there are different series of the same denomination (and even type) that are printed at the same time. If you have The Standard Guide To Small Size US Paper Money (10th Edition) take a look at the FRN series 1950E and 1963A $50 and $100 notes. They have the exact same officer signatures, although the 1950E doesn't have In God We Trust on the back and the 1963A has a simplified legal tender clause. There was no series 1963 for those 2 denominations. Also, in 1963, they were still printing $1 silver certificates using the 1957B series as well as printing series 1963 $1 FRN. What I'm saying is occasionally, the BEP will print 2 different series at roughly the same time mainly to use up the old stock of paper and economize by not needing to revise engraving plates, etc.

Me and my buddy were hanging out, early 80ys. He was snapping a dollar bill and it unfolded, about 2 inches and all blank were it unfolded. Always wondered what that Would've been worth. He left it on his dresser and his nephew took it and spent it.

This doesn't apply to just 100 dollar Bill's, it goes on forever.I can state a 100 dollar bill is worth hundreds, or even thousands. But whatever that item is stated of a higher value.Good luck on getting that anount.It just doesn't work that way.

the very last Canadian 1 dollar bill I ever received in a transaction had the number 6666000 on it - crazy eh - sadly my home got robbed and I lost it - - that was years ago now and I'm still pissed about it, I don't care about anything else they stole, I just want that dollar back
