Eric Staal, triple gold club, veteran leadership down the middle, Olympic teammate. Depth center, help with faceoffs. You would expect the sabres to retain salary to move him, maybe they accept a mid to later round pick. UFA at season end

Weber has been struggling lately. To be fair, he does get the majority of the tougher defensive situations. Might be time to give him a lighter workload for a bit

I know people respect and love Weber but he's holding us back on the powerplay and penalty kill. With his lack of mobility, we can't set up the umbrella formation on the PP and we can't be aggressive on the PK. That Petry PP unit is far deadlier and scarier for other teams.

For me i feel with Caufield coming and our depth at F. I really want Ekholm. I think we need another top 4 D. Ek playing with Weber would be awesome!

I personally think the mete experiment is over, I think they should package a deal with him and get ekholm! He would be a massive gain for us! And if they could possibly figure out a way to bring Getzlaf or forsberg over as well that would be unreal, its so hard tho with the 14 quarantine. If we make a trade on the deadline I believe with the isolation the player we get would miss 8 games, leaving only 5 remaining. Thats a gamble with how tight this division has got. I honestly think come this weekend it will give a better understanding on where we stand, leafs don't play until Friday, if we win all 3 we are 1 point back, right now there is 6 points from second to 6th, first place is very much in play still shockingly. But i do feel we need that veteran center.

GG man. Good job to shut us down in the third and like I said in my reactions, your teams transitional ability is lethal and this game showed it in its entirety.

Good job Matt, I didn't know you were doing a live stream during the game I would watched . Agreed with most what you said. I m glad we got the win, but now we half to put a win streak together. Also I m totally in agreement with Nilan as to why they have bad loosing, him and some other x players chalked it up to the Habs afraid of getting hit, and I half to say I ve noticed that in most of their as well . They have 4 to 5 players that'll periodically hit . Kk, Anderson, Gallagher, Tatar, Armia, Petry,edmonston, Chariot. , Romanov. Thats it and I find it surprising that our captain suppose to be tougher guy, is not using his physical presence near enough and he s not been showing his leadership with even dropping gloves once in a while for his team mates . Now he's not the only one but hes suppose to be our leader and toughest guy, I like this player but for the most part he's been a disappointment this season . I hate to say though I think he s in the decline of his career, I think he needs to be 2nd or 3rd pairing d man on line .Petry by far the top d man on team, and see Romanov being their best in very near future with some experience under his belt. Edmonston had bee a great surprise and probably been the most consistent, and Chariot will be missed, doesnt get the credit he deserves . The only problem for Chariot is I think him and Weber are too simular in style . But I Chariot s defense he seems to have been doing the bulk of hitting, and because of that he sometimes get out stepped, which if Weber would pull his weight would nt be the case . So I ld like to see Chariot with a Romanov pairing . I really think Weber should be be on the third pairing with Kulak .As far as a trade I think way too many Habs fans are letting the horrible sports writers who seem to have this French influence thing going on, seems to be also be listened to by Habs organization as well. We as fans if we know the game half to point this out and not accept it. The two huge Culprit s and this has nothing to do with being a nice these two don't have the faintest clue about the game, and are pushing a language attitude which I think has been affecting Habs quite a bit approx 20 plus years. This has to stop Habs always went by work ethic and top talent. We have got to stop letting these writers allow our organization Habs to accept mediocre . Were not even doing that well. These writers know nothing of the sport, and I believe be they possibly can write, maybe writing obituaries would suit them better . I ve never been so disgusted with E Englesand Elliotte Friedman pushing how great our 1 goal scoring herois to Habs Danault, really come on the stats back ot up one top season at 13 really. Last night he finally one some faceoffs which he wasn't doing well with. His so called defensive game was easily out matched with several teammates doing it much better.If he was English he ld be long gone Bad enough players who give way more effort and are way more talented take way more heat from these two writers and types like them .its outrageous when player like Tatar, Armia out preform this guy by land slides, the # s cleary show it, yes the Habs would like their # s up abit more cause there numbers are down A bit, but if compared its not close their way better. Players that take more heat and perform with way better are Armia, Tatar, Byron, Evan's, leckonen, and remember Drouin s only started to play well since Ducharme and all of these players out perform Danault by a land slide stats show it clearly, the closest player to his stats for the last few season clearly is Leckonen, but he at least works his ass off unfortunately I like Mete, but I think he just a the small side and isn't physical enough .Gets pushed around alot . So its clear when you look at the actual stats and facts and the effort hands down, Danault is their worst, but he s this big hero cause he's scored a goal, that our big goal scorer . REALLY our we crazy and blind . And worst of all there seems to be a huge trend with real bad writers and sports panelist, there's a newer guy on t s n, it looks like his hair is dyed white with black steaks and you can tell its not natural, but anyway point being another one that knows very little about the game and he's a go to guy, his name is Frank . Now their nice guys, but they don't know the game . Unfortunately it seem s that the hockey broadcasters world seems to have started there own trend of picking people that they just want in their club . I m sure they have some type of connection to get in the club . Its really pathetic. They don't half to have a clue, but unfortunately they carry influence. Now you mention trade, I am actually pleased with Marc s choices with the new edition s, but we half to remember we don't have an actual goal scorer, so we put the pressure of scoring on the Tatar s and Armia s and others, thats not fair, their not goal scorers, more of set up guys . So no wonder Habs get into runs that they can't score, you need to have goal scorers for that, so I think Marc has improved the club, but this team isnt finished being constructed, I know i was excited too to see us get some depth, real good additions (Anderson, Tofolli, Allen and Edmonston) much improved, but we got ahead of ourselves, there still are no goal scorers yet, and we as fans thought all is solved with these additions, not a chance, on the right track. We half to get one to two goal scorers to complete this team with some of our youngsters coming up that ll improve the team as well. But the Habs have been avoided this issue for far too long since Naslund and Lafleur. If wa want success we half to pull the trigger on getting a couple of goal scorers, you need all the pieces not just some of the ingredients. A cake cant be made without the flour eggs and shortening. So this team can't reach its potential without goal scorers the finishers . Were close. But it ll take some time to gell, finding right lines . But in this process were finding out there is still some poison left in that locker room, and this team isnt quite complete yet, but they are a much better team than they ve shown . Thats why this is òn the players, heart needed. They need to figure out who the rotten apples are, thats for Marc to investigate and once and for all get rid of the whoever they are, no team will thrive with poison there, I know we thought it was gone with alot of past trades, its not, we are still having this issue .Time to clean this team up once and for all. So I guess some fine tuning is needed. And if this is the case it can't be all the new faces it has to be some players who are the longer stayers . Now trade, we need some subtraction that are killing us ( Danault, Mete, , and I hate to say Leckonen). This is the more for sure that need to go. They just don't fit in . Remember we have lots of depth and talent from our drafting now . Let them mold in miners first, we now have plenty. So .we can now start trading some of our future drafts this year onward to throw in the package with those three players, and we half to watch Price and Weber close, both being paid way too much, but both have under achieved, now its really only been this season for Weber that he s not played well. Pric its been for approximately 4 to 5 years hes not played well. You can't expect to only perform in 5 þo 10 games in playoffs. Price has to understand you half to get there first .Now since firing of coach s and goalie coach, hes now playing much improved . Weber on the other hand not the case, I m afraid its a case of natural decline in his game . I think cut some of his ice time, it might help him a bit, but I also think he s now 2nd to 3rd line pairing . Now with the three players and our future drafts we can get a couple of goal scorers . Just can't be forced into a bad trade, may half to wait for for off season to get our goal scorer s . I hate to say that cause we need to be careful with not trading our young talent in system away . But I do think those three players must go, only one I ld possibly hold on if your stuck is Leckonen. His efforts there . However I wouldn't keep him long term, thats why I prefer the package deal with done up and coming drafts i beleive we can at least get one of he goal scorers by trade deadline. Than second maybe in off season . One point I think needs mentioning is that I m concerned that possibly Price and Weber may be in the group of bad apples, I hope thats not he case but I really wonder. But at least Price Is playing better now

Wasn't pretty at times but Habs got the 2 points. To those who says Price can't steal games he sure did last night especially in the 3rd period. Price came out huge when it mattered the most

Toffoli and Anderson are single handily keeping this team alive, those two have become the heart and soul, but gonna need a guy like Ekholm, if we're gonna have any chance, Ouellet shouldn't even be in the NHL.

Good game guys! You’s capitalized on some critical turnovers and Price was very solid. I think Jets played better overall for sure, nonetheless much deserved credit to the Habs!
