The benin empire started by a man called ogiso igodo who later name the land igodomigodo in 40bce the last ogiso is called ogiso owodo, 31 ogisos ruled the kingdom before oba dynasties started the present oba makes it the 40th oba, making it 71 Kings that have ruled the kingdom.

Your images are all messed up.0 The Benin empire was in modern day Nigeria as you rightly stated so why are you showing a map of Benin Republic which is a neighbouring countyry to Nigeria?

The only connection is the name- Benin Republic used to be known as Dahomey but changed the name to Benin ss a mark of respect for the Benin empire of old. Pls be more careful about details in your videos so you dont misinform people.

Isnt it amazing to hear their origin story is the exact same as those heard all over the globe its amazing to hear because unless this story was taught to us from way back before christ how could we all have thus same kings came down and ruled story as our origin.
