NTV = Nippon TV
HTB = Hokkaido TV
Although you know or not know how to read the cyrilic alphabets, you still know this station has the same shorten name as a Japanese TV station.

Why does Russia always have bells somewhere in a ident?
Also NTV is pretty creative with it's commercial IDs nowadays.

Did you know that the Russian term for Station IDs and Production Logos is "заставка"? (zastavka; translates to "screensaver")

Another fun fact is that back in the old days of the USSR/SSSR/CCCP, when stations signed off they displayed a message telling the viewers to switch off and unplug their TV set? (Soviet TVs were known for combusting due to poor wiring.)
