The more sections the stronger.. a long floppy driveshaft (one piece) has alot of leverage to break itself in half.. shorter sections are always stronger. And the carrier bearings add extra support.

I'd actually like to see this get a full refinish, eventually, and a NICE job. Something that'd be worthy of a banger of a limo. So many limos have pretty cheap paintwork, you can step it up a BIG notch and I think you really should.
