Great to find this video! Barbara Schwartz had such an exciting game, and was fully deserving of her win. But was sadly plagued by knee injuries so her career didn't match up to the promise.

I do remember this match and how I was amazed by Barbara Schwartz's game this day, especially by her beautiful and powerful backhand. This weapon annoyed a lot Venus Williams.
She played so incredibly this day. I wonder how this Austrian player didn't have a wonderful career with such game. She was really good and inspired this day. Thanks for the video.

I wonder what happened to Barbara Schwartz. I remember her playing well not only in this match but also against Graf at the 1999 Australian Open and against Seles at the 2002 U.S Open where she took a set in both of the latter two matches.
