Notepad++ For Mac OS: How to Install Notepad++ on Apple Mac Computers

Installing Notepad++ on Mac OS is very easy. While, there are text editors on mac, Notepad for mac is not available and officially supported on Apple Mac computer. this short video will demonstrate how you can install and use Notepad++ on macOS. This is in fact a better version of Notepad.

You will need to install a free software called PlayOnMac. This software allows you to install Windows OS software on Apple Mac computers.

Once the PlayOnMac is installed, you can search for Notepad++ and the search should find it. You can simply install Notepad++ and follow the usual wizard. Once, Notepad++ is installed on MacOS. You can launch it from PlayOnMac software list.

Oh no @viewers,
this is so much of a hassle 😒, this app first creates a virtual drive of it's own where all our .txt files should be made available (pasted), then it opens from within that location "ONLY". As a Monterey OS user, there is no other way to open files from anywhere in the file system but that drive.
