Thank you for thinking of her cousin I believe? Or just her friend! I remember my friends mom taking me with her to the salon and got my friends nails done as well. Because I wasn’t getting a service, I had to sit in the lobby. I never had a super close relationship with either of my parents so those occasions were hard on an 11-12 year old. I just wanted to feel a part of something after the divorce.
No doubt you made that little girl feel so loved. You also opened so many doors for more bonding, and trust and I love that. Abby you seriously are such an amazing mom and you’re someone I take notes from on the daily. ❤️

Omg I thought I was the only one who had a deeper purpose for nails. It stops me from picking, too!! I'll pick my nails until they're swollen and bleeding. I'm happy you've figured this out way sooner than I did in life!❤

My mom never did girly stuff with me. Brushing my hair was an awful and painful thing for all involved. I am a curly girl and she wasn't. She was clueless and we didn't have the internet. I was a cuticle picker for years. But now I truly love my monthly visits to see Mimi at my salon. It has truly saved me from tearing my hands apart. Ps. I'm also 25 years in recovery!🎉

Love how you let Myla get her nails done occasionally, my daughters 5 and she’s got small amounts of makeup and her own vanity she loves being included in more girly things and she keeps asking for press ons but her little nails are still way too small 😂

I’d recommend her getting gel nails with builder gel!! a lot less damaging for the nails and since I started getting gel my nails never break and they last longer in my opinion as my acrylics would snag or crack eventually

My grandma used to take me to the nail salon all the time & now I’m a nail tech bc I truly loved it that much. You never know, even the smallest things can inspire those kiddos ! ❤️
