I live in Alaska and we have to plug in our cars when it gets cold to keep the battery warm. If you want your car to work remember to start it every couple hours or it will not start. Sometimes covering with a blanket can help alittle.

Yeah it's 33 degrees feels like 17 right now in SW Oklahoma about 2 hrs SE of Amarillo Texas. Lows around 14 degrees not counting wind chill. When we were home shopping, we made sure to buy with ALOT of GAS appliances.

Subfreezing temps, ice and sleet and snow predicted for Texas starting tomorrow and lasting till Wednesday. Just hope the state energy grid is prepared for it, unlike 4 years ago (February 2021) when we had the Big Freeze and Black Out for 5 days straight. I'm prepared for it this time just in case and all stocked up with everything I need to hunker down inside for several days.
