Great job! What did you replace the tantalum capacitors with? I have ta-e88 and I think do I need to change them or leave them old.

Greetings from Australia! Nice video mate.
I got my TA-E86B a few days ago and am in the process of restoring it. In my case, somebody has been inside before and done some questionable things lol (for example replacing C619 / C620 with 4 x 470uF / 35V instead of 2 x 1000uF / 50V). They also used JAMICON brand caps on the power supply board and replaced C510 which should be 10uF / 50V with 100uF / 50V.

Can I ask you what caps you're using for C505 / C506 which are specced for 3300 / 42V? It looks like Nippon Chemicon?
Also I see you have replaced all square box tantalums with Wimas - out of curiosity were the original caps reading bad?

I would like to pick your brain about other things too but it is difficult on YouTube.
