I'm going to try a little, non scientific experiment to see if the CO2 levels in my fish room affect the plants growing in my fish tanks, or if it affects the pH of my aquarium water.

Fascinating and informative as always. I look forward for the rest of the results.

Could it be a combination of slightly higher Co2 lvs, the waterfall tank lighting, and the higher nitrate lvs in your basement tanks?

could I manufacture artificial CO2 somehow by using aluminum foil and concentrated muriatic acid for cheap? should I buy dry ice, how can I boost my room air CO2 levels (it’s upstairs drafty windows)

Water CO2 is carbonic acid. It makes the ph go down when dissolved.

ph makes the difference from everything ive found, id try and explain better but it would be like writing a novel to go into the things ive tried lol, be interesting to see what your results will be tho cause our tap ph is 7.8ish so very different from you
