After eight years in the making, UFL is finally available for players to enjoy, but has the wait been worth it?

A free-to-play football game that prides itself on play-to-win over pay-to-win, UFL has finally gone live for players with early access, with the full game going live worldwide on Thursday, December 5. With developers Strikerz Inc. putting an end to what seemed a never-ending wait for the game to be released, we've put UFL to the test to see how it performs and also see how it compares to its biggest rival in the football gaming scene, EA FC 25.

the fact that they've gotten so many gameplay elements right already is a great sign. People don't understand just how difficult it is to get passing, AI and all that jazz right and I'm glad that's what theyre prioritizing. To me it looks like they know what they're doing and the game will only be getting better and better.

This game not only free, but also is not final, which means it will always receive updates and improvement over time, unlike FC only on a yearly basis.

I am genuinely so disgusted by some of the comments I’m seeing. This is a free game; if you don’t like it, kindly uninstall and go back to paying close to $100 every f*cking year just to get the same thing every goddamn year. Am I saying this game is better than EA FC? Obviously not. Will it be better than EA FC? It has potential, but I sincerely doubt it(i mean ea has been on for 25 years+ lol). However, this game is different, refreshing, and as the developers continue to release updates, it will definitely improve. Idk why EA fanboys are out here crying lol.

I miss the days of the old Konami PES games without any monetization. You can play single games, various tournaments with clubs or national teams and have some challenging practice modes. This game looks like a shop for various nonsense with a side mode to play some fake football. Same goes today for Fifa and eFootbal.

I'm a FIFA-Vet, play it since SNES, UT from 2012 to 2024 and stopped it many times, waited for UFL so long and I love it already. Its a WORK IN PROGRESS and I think it will grow alot soon!

They will need to further improve it if they want to have FIFA players switch to this game. However, this game has potential so I can't wait to try it out!

I bet if Konami remastered or re-released pes 6 and updated the rosters and added more teams and licenses real team pes 6 would wipe the floor with these new soccer games

This game is clearly made with the sole aim of exploiting that Ultimate Team money. Nothing more. This isn't a football game that celebrate football and its culture like FIFA and PES used to do back in the day before UT existed. The roots of UFL is a pure money making scheme right from the get go.

The game is a breath of fresh air when it comes to football games. FC 25 sadly is a slog at the moment and efootball takes one step forward and two back for every patch. This game is far from perfect and needs tuning but there is a great potential here. And for the price (I paired for pre order) and free to play elements it is a no brainier to give it a try. The RP cap is a smart way to regulate god squads and I have so far really enjoyed building a team as every purchase is really important when it comes to improving your team. I can see this continue well into the game. Gameplay wise I love the manual defending, the AI for both attacking and defensive runs are really good and shooting is the star. Dribbling and op elements of passing needs to be worked on. I look forward to follow this game.

UFL ball movement looks like the mobile phone game called dream league soccer, while FC25 player look like they're floating in the air when they running. Efootball gameplay, ball and player movement is still better than those two.
