Interpretative Notes to Pieces
10. Czech Song. The first four bars forming the introduction to the piece are grouped into two-bar phrases. The melody (bar 5) should be played with a deep sound against the background of a soft accompaniment. The quaver movement in the left hand is calm, interrupted only by the rests.
