Glendale teen who disappeared in 2019 found in Montana

The Glendale Police Department has announced that Alicia Navarro, who is now 18 years old, has been found and is alive. Police officials made the announcement Wednesday saying she was found in Montana. Officials say she turned up at a police station and identified herself as Alicia Navarro and asked for help getting herself off a missing persons list. She is currently not in custody, and police are not disclosing her location at this time. Authorities believe Navarro left her home at the time of her own free will.

I used to work with teens who have unfortunately ran away from home, sometimes it's home abuse and other times it's underlying issues. It's heartbreaking when the family doesn't look for or want the teen back. I'm glad her mother kept looking for her and was able to find her alive.

It's kinda sus that she revealed herself after she turned 18, a legal adult. Idk if this was a classic runaway that feels safe now that her parents have no authority over her or someone the behind the scenes manipulating things. Either way glad she's alive.
