This was one of the first biopics, musicals, all black cast movie I remember watching as a kid! It brings back memories of watching this with my family almost every weekend holiday! They did an awesome job portraying this legendary group, turning me on to music way before my time! I can watch this movie a like it’s the first time and still be intrigued!

For me I liked the look on Otis’s step fathers face. At first he was dead set against him singing. But I loved how Otis showed him he was right then Edgar looked so proud and won him over.

This was a great mini-series. It showed the hard work and practice that lead up to this moment. And the movie knocked it out of the park at 1:58 when it went to color and turned up the volume. A great representation of that moment where their hard work and dreams became a reality.
