Awesome video. The finished product looks amazing!!! Only thought to those reading these comments, if you are doing this for a kids room, or some type of room where the theme may change in a few years, having to take all those staples out of the ceiling is going to be a PAIN! If you don't plan on changing it around, staples sound like a great long term solution. Love your tutorial, thank you for sharing!

Ok this is badass but I just got one question. How dusty does it get? Cause I bet when the house settles all that stuff catches the dust.

the stock adhesive for the led lights doesnt stick well.. we added to it with zip tie mounting bases and superglue on the posterboard.. textured ceilings are not great with adhesives like the backing of the led strips. posterboard adds a smooth surface to mount to... and only 50 cents a sheet well worth it so you dont have saggin lights within a week or worse

I’m about to do this, but I’m going to staple poster boards on the ceiling first. Lay my LED pattern. I’m not going to put 5, 000 staples in my ceiling though… going to opt for the glue
