Kaneohe Bay Air Show draws traffic: 'It was crazy'

The Blue Angels are on the Islands and they are drawing a crowd.
Officials said about 11,000 vehicles entered Kaneohe Marine Corps Base on Saturday, Aug. 13 and expected similar numbers on Sunday, Aug. 14.

I am a prior service marine and attended the show on Saturday with my 6 year old son. It was hot and the amount of traffic was really something. But, I'm proud of our service members and everyone who made the show possible. I think they all did an outstanding job despite the circumstances being a monumental security and logistical accomplishment. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the show and make some memories with my son.
