Student Profile - Why become a Physician Assistant

Shenandoah University understands that physician assistants are in demand. U.S. News & World Report calls the fast-growing job category the 10th best of 2015. Sierra Dickman, '15, a graduate student in Shenandoah University's Physician Assistant Studies graduate program, is about to enter the field with a Master of Science in physician assistant studies.

Dickman says she chose Shenandoah because she believes smaller schools and more personal attention equals better education. She notes that her class is filled with students who are deeply supportive of each other. She says the first step on a journey like hers is to call or visit Shenandoah. Her path into the PA program began with a simple pre-application call to the university.
