The Darksaber Legacy Lightsaber from Galaxy's Edge - Review

First appearing in the Clone Wars tv series, originally wielded by the first (and only) Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre Vizsla, this weapon was kept in the jedi temple after he died before it was stolen by the House Vizsla family and then passed down from generation to generation.

In the Clone Wars it was used by Pre Vizsla, leader of the death watch, however the saber was taken by Darth Maul in a duel as he became master of the death watch until he was defeated by Emperor Palpatine.

The saber eventually found its way to Sabine Wren who then handed it to Bo Katan. After the Night of a Thousand Tears the saber was surrendered to Moff Gideon hoping the Empire would stop the purge of Mandalore.

In live action we see the Darksaber in the hands of moff Gideon before it passes to Din Jarin and finally Bo Katan.

Disney produced the Galaxy's Edge legacy version of this hilt when they realised how successful and popular it was. Originally only available at Galaxy's Edge in Disney Parks, they later made the saber available at ShopDisney online.

Also the tip of the blade with lacking LED is an intention due to the blade design. They managed to fix that on the new toy version because the blade material is much thicker and similar to Hasbro toy.

You can think that Disney kinda made it cheap. But even the screen prop had an issue with the tip of the blade.

I have been very nitpicky with this Darksaber because it was also my 1st legacy lightsaber as well. The hilt itself is fine collection for display. The major issues are the blade and the electronics. Lack of black blade and not a backward shape. and 2 LED on the emitter. But it's actually a 1.5 LED if you see closer 😢

This is pretty much a prototype with overpriced lightsaber.

As of now.. we have seen the original screen used Darksaber prop back in Mandalorian experience 2022. While the custom sabers are starting to make an accurate Darksaber, the official ones are still lacking with corrections. Disney has finally made a small improvement on new toy version. But overall better and cheaper to experience the Darksaber until they update the legacy Darksaber.

Wonder if those 4 lights is the battery level I know my savis workshop the battery is always in use with stone in I take out the battery when not in use plus dong want the battery exploding
