I am now the proud owner of that beautiful Alexander tetradrachm! I had to pay a bit more than I planed, but the great story you told about the coin made me go for it. I can't wait to get it home!

I’m learning a lot about ancient coins on your channel. A lot more than I thought I knew.
Those coins are in great condition btw! Very cool 😎

These are some beautiful coins! One of m favourite aspects of Seleucid coinage is the beading of the coin. Unlike the simple dots seen on other pieces most Seleucid coinage had very ornate beading design. The most interesting thing is this type of beading is still used today for example a identical design can be seen on the rim of the standing liberty quarter from the US. Great video as always!

Thank you for another really interesting video. It is great that you are covering the wider ancient world as well as the Romans and Greek City States. It would be fantastic if you could eventually do videos on other lesser known civilisations such as the Parthians and Sasanians. As I’m sure you know, they had an interesting numismatic culture (the Sasanians in particular) with many distinctive features and their history was closely intertwined with the Roman Empire. There are even many Roman coins which can also be linked directly to these Iranian empires, mainly claiming victories over them.

Coins of the Bosporan Kingdom (in the Crimea) and Axum are also really cool, and again have that link to the Roman Empire.

As always a great video - well researched and presented. Question: is there a book or website that can help with identifying and pronouncing the Greek inscriptions on coins?

Dear master of the coins of the ancients; the guy I bought my probus coin from is someone I typically by US currency off of, and due to the amount of coins I’ve bought from him he sent me some Uncleaned ancient bronze coins. I’ve seen a few videos on how to correctly clean these but I was wonder if you had anything on this. It’s nothing against the rest of YouTube, I just trust you a bit more on things pertaining to ancient coins than I do others
