ATSF Train # 73 Mixed Way Freight Operations Part 1

NOTE: This model railroad video is not intended for anyone under 14 years of age due to the use of small parts, dangerous tools, electrical items, glues, and paints.

This is part 1 of the Santa Fe mixed way freight train # 73's trip around the layout. This train originates (not shown in the video) at Argentine Yard (staging) and first stops at Union Station and then makes stops with freight car switching at both Morris and Paradigm. Switchlists were prepared and used for this operation and are shown in the video.

Part 2 will continue the trip through San Angela and Jamestown before going further west to Emporia (staging) and will be posted in a few days.

I did not have any issues when rehearsing this operation but, of course when doing it for record, several things go wrong so most of the bloopers and laughs are left in the video along with using the big hand for uncoupling duties.

The train sounds in the opening trailer were taken from a legal copy of the Apple iMovie application that I own and a recording of a BLI steam engine that I own..

The music in the closing trailer is an original composition made using a legal copy of the Apple Garageband application that I own.
