I live in the woods, on a hill in Taft TN. We had an amazing display of fireflies last night!!! I love fireflies… ever since I was a kid in California and read the book “Gus the Firefly”. It wasn’t until I went into the army and was stationed in South Carolina I actually got to view them. It was on our Basic Training night march I saw them. I thought it was simulated rifle fire and “hit the ground”. The soldiers behind me tumbled on top of me. It was quite a mess, but I got to see fireflies!! Decades later… I live in the woods, on a hill in Taft TN. Last night there was the most beautiful display of fireflies moving from the top of our hill to the bottom! I was thrilled! I expected to sit on our back deck and watch it again!!! What a showing it was. I haven’t seen so many in decades…. I will be on my back deck again tonight. I hope what I experienced last night will visit tonight and are making a comeback! This morning I am watching squirrels and Cardinals feed sunflower seeds off the back deck. Tonight I will see what magic the Fireflies have to show off!!!

Way cool! I didn't see them in nature near Prague, in our garden, or even later in suburbs of Boston. When I moved to Iowa in 1986, I was enchanted. Did you see them in Northen Bohemia where you grew up? I know there was light industry in Liberec, so it wasn't too polluted. (I heard your answer - 1 species.) Fairfield is uniquely quiet on many levels, so living there inspires quiet walks at night. Glad the Domes are open again. Loved your show, thanks. Still gypsy around, so no order.

How do you begin to pick which one to print? I'm sure they are all beautiful!

How did you acquire your fondness of firefly's? I have 3 of your metal pictures! Wish I had more wall space :) . I hope Uptown Art Fair in Mpls will happen next year. Thanks Radim!

I grew up outside Fairfield. Fireflies lit up my childhood. I've lived in the Southwest for many years. Are there fireflies out west... I've heard rumors.
