After over 30 weddings with the zhiyun weebill 3 we're here to give you a comprehensive wedding filmmaking review for this camera gimbal

The Zhiyun Weebill 3 gimbal hit the market a while back and we got our hands on one early to give you a full zhiyun weebill 3 review but it's always tough to really put it to the test in just a short time. Since then we've gotten three of these gimbals and have now used them for an entire wedding filmmaking season. So, we thought it would only be right to circle back on our zhiyun weebill 3 review for wedding filmmakers and give you an update after a full season of well over 30 weddings videos.

There are still a lot of things we like about this gimbal, but unfortunately, with a bit more time to use it, we've found some things about the weebill three that we don't like a whole lot. Additionally, there's some features that we found ourselves really not using. All in all we have some mixed feelings and experiences with the weebill three but we hope this updated weebill three review video will help you figure out if this is the best gimbal for wedding videos.

As you know i am a big gimbal fan, easy to do high shots, lower shots, push ins and push outs, rotation shots and parallax shots you just can't do well handheld, especially in conjunction with a monopod. I person4 don't use the handles, they just restrict artistic shots on my opinion. I do use the bigger gimbals as i use R3s to film. I haven't used the smaller gimbals and slipping plates would drive me crazy. But overall i highly recommend gimbals, not because they are easier or better than handheld, i do feel they give you much more shot variations. If you are going to use it like a handheld i think it potential will be a waste of money.

The weebill 3 is the absolute worst gimbal I've ever used. I ordered it the first day it came out, and it arrived 2 days later. I used it for 2 weddings and absolutely hated it. I, too, had issues with the roll axis and the motor jitters. I know how to balance a gimbal precisely, including the x, y, and z axis and the pan handle axis, so that wasn't the issue. Adjusting motor strengths and then even using auto-tune did not help. Lol...and I was only using the GH5 with the 7-14mm pro lens on it...not a heavy setup. The wrist support was great, and the extended handle was amazing and quick to adjust. That's about all the good I can say.
Oh, and another issue is that when properly balanced on the roll axis, there was almost zero space between the camera and the side compartment, so any quick release option was out of the question. I had to slide the camera to the side to put it off balance before I could snap it off the plate. It's absolutely terrible. So what did I do? I got rid of it faster than a hot potato 🥔 and bought the Ronin RS3 Pro, and my life is bliss... the best gimbal I've ever purchased. My Weebil 2 is my B-gimbal and works so incredibly well. I love the Weebill 2...its served me well and continues to do so in what has now become a support role. 😀

zhiyun has no customer support.
I had one failing and took several months for zhiyun to reply to me. their customer service page online is in traditional chinese, they dont reply emails, etc. I had to spam all their social medias to get a reply, took them 2-3 months to get back to me, to then in the end tell me that i had to ship it to china and pay repairs and postage back on top for a product that was supposedly in their warranty.

If you aren't a youtuber, skip them. Youtubers are always biased by their freebies/sponsored links etc.

Meanwhile i have a 3 year old DJI drone, emailed DJI about a swollen battery, on a out of warranty drone and they just sent me a brand new battery for free within 2 days.

Also every 2nd shooter that i had with zhiyun gimbals this year, their footage is never stable.
