I have lost both the Amin password and the iMac login. Is it possible to retrieve both? I think i deleted a keychain accidentally and maybe reset to default? IDK Just guessing. I only wanted to fix turbotax and messed around a bit. Please help!

Never works for me. Only changes the user password, NOT THE ADMIN PASSWORD!

I already knew my password, but i couldn’t install a software, because it needs username and password (I entered my password but it doesn’t work), now I used your tips and changed my password, It is okay for logging but it doesn’t work for installing software !!!!
