Is there anyone who realizes the hilarity that is #2? NASA is sending Juno to check up on Jupiter. In Roman mythology, Juno is the wife of Jupiter.
NASA is basically sending Juno to check up on her husband.

Honestly it is amazing how far we've come, and how far we're still going.
Things like these missions just make me proud to be human!

We had a member of the New Horizons project come to my college and talk to the physics and astronomy department and it was one of the coolest things that I had heard at that point in college. It's mission is so cool and much more complex than I realized. I can't wait to see the data that these missions come back with. Such a cool time for space missions!

Wow. New Horizons is making its final approach, Juno is almost there, Dawn is within range of Ceres and is making its final approach and Rosetta already made it. It's so cool to see the past talking about today!

Nice to see Rosetta get a mention- my colleagues at the Open University in the UK were heavily involved in developing the instruments onboard the spacecraft. We're currently working on an instrument to go to the Moon with ESA's Lunar Lander in 2018 (hopefully!)

The active development of today's space missions is how well the telemetry and sensor arrays have improved since the first sputnik. Going farther distances, with better equipment and even more than 1 destination! Space gives the ultimate challenge...how to explore, survive and build! We got the groundwork, now its up to us to keep on working the problems, but also to make some ambitious goals.

3:20 SciShow in two, three, and four years?! That would be awesome! Good thing there is a lot of science to talk about.

I can answer that one for you. I did some research before because I wanted to figure it out. When you speak, sound energy spreads in the air around you and reaches your cochlea through your external ear by air conduction. Sound also travels from your vocal cords and other structures directly to the cochlea, but the mechanical properties of your head enhance its deeper, lower-frequency vibrations. The voice you hear when you talk is the combination of the two

Does anyone else just get happy when these come out in part because it means you can listen to the theme tune?
